TRAINING METHODS
Steel mace & clubbells
These tools have a unique way of connecting the shoulder, ribs and hips. They do take some time and skill to master, but the investment of learning how to use them pays out in end range strength, mobility, and a balanced spine that can flex, extend and rotate.
Barbell & Kettlebell
Timeless tools for building foundational strength and learning basic movement patterns. Aileen has gone through RKC (Russian Hardstyle Kettlebell) training as well as the StrongFirst Lifts courses.
tensegrity
Tensegrity is a combination of the words tension and integrity. Through our modern lifestyle many people have lost this sense of awareness of how everything in the body is connected. Looking at movement from a global perspective and understanding how the spine supports the limbs, and integrating that awareness into strength training is what has truly helped many RiverWell clients regain their physical freedom.
Flow Ropes
Slightly heavier than a standard jump rope, we use patterns based in figure eight hand movements and upper body rotation to move the rope around your body instead of jumping through it. Learning rope flow is great for coordination, integrating rotation into your training, working your non-dominant side and keeping your workouts fun.
